Independent Arts chosen as Freshwater Bay Golf Club charity of the year
Independent Arts is delighted to have been chosen as Freshwater Bay Golf Club captain’s charity of the year, and can not wait to work with all the club’s members to raise lots of funds, and awareness of our work using the arts to improve health and wellbeing of thousands of people across the Isle of Wight.
Lisa Gagliani, chief executive of Independent Arts said: “It’s wonderful that captain Gary Dobson and members of Freshwater Bay Golf Club have chosen Independent Arts to support as their charity of the year. We were warmly welcomed by the members and we are really looking forward to supporting their fundraising achievements. As a club, they align so well with us as they completely understand the need for companionship, which is at the heart of everything Independent Arts does.
“Too many people on the Isle of Wight are isolated and lonely through bereavement, ill health or circumstances they can’t control, and joining one or more of our sessions such as SingAbout, DanceMakers or Creative Café has become a lifeline to many.”
