Become a community champion
By becoming a community champion, you can not only take part in fundraising for Independent Arts, but support others in their efforts. This could include volunteering for us at events, representing Independent Arts across the Isle of Wight, or going along to events to cheer other fundraisers on. It might also include giving talks, collecting cheques, and generally promoting our work within your personal and professional networks.
What Makes a Great community champion? Someone who is passionate about Independent Arts and has time to give to represent us. Someone who is happy and able to promote the work of Independent Arts to friends, family, personal and professional networks. If you have been supported by Independent Arts, being a community champion is a great way to give something back and support others!
Will I Get Support? Yes! We will provide you with materials and branding, as well as providing you with information about our work, how we are funded, and where the money is spent, ensuring you can communicate this when representing Independent Arts. A member of the team will always be on hand to support you, and we won’t ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with. You will be helping to enhance our fundraiser delivery, not be responsible for delivering it!
What Do I Get? – We will supply you with a branded tee shirt and/or jumper, as well as annual reports, What We Do and What’s On guides, and anything else you need. You will also get a great sense of satisfaction!
Take part in an event
If you would like to support Independent Arts but don’t want to arrange your own fundraising challenge or event, you can sign up for a wide array of fundraising events and nominate to raise money for Independent Arts. This could include being lucky enough to receive a ballot place at a running event such as Great South Run or London Marathon or purchasing tickets to take part in an Ironman or Tough Mudder.
If you already have a place in an event and want to raise money for Independent Arts, please contact Matt for support with setting up giving pages and receiving fundraising materials!
