Sleepscapes and Seascapes

This exhibition was created by participants aged 13 years to 30+ who took part in a series of weekly workshops during 2021 and 2022.

Project workshops were designed to tackle some of the difficulties facing young people following their experiences during the pandemic, and to support them to achieve better mental health and wellbeing overall.

Through creative exploration and holistic wellbeing workshops each group considered themes and subjects of social, environmental and personal relevance. They were given opportunities to try a range of creative mediums with the aim of learning new creative skills and of finding new means for self-expression and self-exploration.

Work produced in response to some of the themes and topics explored during the latter half of the project are on display here in the gallery, with the full body of work being displayed in earlier months in main gallery window displays, and at staged event evenings.
